Byut
The Vulitites operates a federated fiat currency which does not properly translate to English, translating character to character gives you Byut. Before I state the generic meal cost I need to explain the currency a bit more. The currency exists mostly as a physical currency, but some companies offer digital banking. The Vull creates a code that all sub-currencies must follow but doesn’t set any other rules for the currency however all economic data is sent to the Vull’s AI and the AI determines an appropriate conversion rate from sub-currency to Byut which is then made public knowledge so Qualatin’s and their citizens can trade between sub-currencies easier. One of the only rules about Byut sub-currencies is that they are required to be segment based, with a number of segments being mechanically connected to create a coin. Byut is made of 10 equal segments that form one coin. Byut-axi, a sub-currency, has 20 unequal segments that build to one coin. (Some segments are worth more as they’re easily lost). 1 Byut segment would feed a hundred thousand people with a decent meal. 1 common Byut-axi segment would buy one person one decent meal. Do a little math and you’d need 1 million common Byut-axi segments to get a single Byut. An uncommon Byut-axi piece may get 2-3 people decent meals and a rare piece could feed as many as 20 people and a full Byut-axi coin would feed a thousand people.
