Regions of Space

Areas of the galactic map that are defined by some authority as a "region"

These are identified by using a combination of map coordinates, Fold/Gate routes, and galactic compass with the center of the galaxy being north.

Map coordinates breakdown: PA8-1629-3.

First letter: Type of body. S-Station A-Asteroid P-Planet M-Moon, etc

Second Letter: Atmospheric status. A: Natural Atmosphere N-No Atmosphere T-Artificial atmosphere

Next Digit: Size of object, where 1 is the smallest known of it's class, and 10 is largest known of its class. Rock planets and gas planets are in separate categories for this.

Next 4 digits: XXYY. On the Hex map, XX is vertical, YY is horizontal. 0000 is in the top left corner.

Last Digit: Order of major body from star. Moons and stations do not count, only planets and major asteroid belts. Stations and moons orbit these, so there would be an additional digit here for those. The example coordinate used is for Arita, for Arita Naval Station the coordinate is:

ST9-1629-33
