Gate Transit System Station (GTSS)

An otherwise mostly unnoteworthy system was made into the single most important system in the galaxy by the decision to control the movement of people through the Gate network by connecting nearly every Gate to this system, which then allows them to go to any other system with a Gate.

Each Gate is also a space station, these stations are 100% self sufficient and are operated by a staff of twenty one thousand per station. While these stations can support more people and can facilitate trade that is best done off station where more space is available and movement on station is less restricted.

That station was built and is operated by the Gate Makers, but staffed with employees that have no direct affiliation with the corporation. The Station was seemingly meant to serve as a sibling company that produced long term value for it's Gate network that was slow but rather cheap to build for it's customers. In many ways this is very successful. The GTSS has seen quite a lot of trade and is a hub of information for much of the galaxy. The station is rather barebones and operates almost exclusively with automated systems and strictly disallows travel into the station. This makes the station exceptional for fully automated trade ships and short distance traders but unfriendly to long distance traders who prefer Orduzna Station for its amenities.

This lack of station side support for living people has ensured that the station never grows beyond it's main purpose of being a hub for logistics and information but also stunts it's overall growth potential as a revenue vehicle further showing for many that the Gate Makers are not here to make insane amounts of money, but to only steadily grow their corporation.
