Monsian Rovers

I’ll have to come back to this, but in short this is the former space station on the Monsian homeworld. This society of Monsians were abused by Monsian elites in the form of doing all the manufacturing of complex and machine goods. They had to do it all in space and over time lost rights and privileges. Monsians weren’t allowed to return to the planet if they spent too long in the industrial complex, Monsians sent up there were always kept there that long and Monsians on station were encouraged to reproduce themselves and eventually got to the point of full self sufficiency and were having to give the majority of their goods to the planet.

After they invented the Fold Drive they created the largest Fold ever in one of the galaxy's first Folds in 22 BE (Adjust to earlier perhaps). No one has ever been able to replicate the size. The “ship” they had is actually a very complex space station that was broken into several parts, each part double the size of ships being built in 150 AE.

This complex is reassembled when they reach somewhere they want to stay for a while, mining resources and trading with locals before going somewhere new.

They like spending time in Compact controlled space simply because corporations struggle to patrol all of their claims to wide open space, or it's easier to make deals with them to park for a while. Every other entity, and some in Compact space, make it much more difficult.
