Republic of Astrox

Summary

The Republic of Astrox is a democratic socialist government whose capital city, Thudra, is on Arita. Their government is over 300 years old and was founded under the belief that all Tutinari people should be united in preparation to Alien contact. The founding members of the Republic eventually went to war with the rest of the governments on Arita, a war that eventually ended in a stalemate and cease fire agreement. In this agreement the Republic would keep the territory it controlled which at the time was roughly 40% of the worlds population.

The RoA advertises themselves on the main principles of Order, Justice, and Equality, this often takes form in a strong military and police force to enforce a labyrinth of laws enforcing things as minor as appropriate apparel in specific settings to much broader things like the movement of citizens and residents. The RoA claims that it's citizens can do whatever they wish, so long as they follow the correct legal processes, but ensuring that a legal process is not missed many citizens use services that automatically manage much of the legal paperwork for their day to day lives. For example, when a citizen goes to their job they must get approved travel plans on their registered vehicle and are only allowed specific locations to stop at along the way if they so desire. They are sold this on the premise that this ensures there is a minimal level of traffic and that if an incident does occur, it minimizes the delays because the paperwork for the incident can be quickly filed using pre-collected data.
