Duran

Workhorse of the Navy (Patrol Ship)

The Duran class frigate is the most mass produced ship the Republic Navy has, and for good reason. It's equipped with the latest generation of both main and maneuver thrusters, but all of that is needed for it's thicker than average size for this class. The Duran class is a well rounded ship most often used for patrolling.

To save on space, the ship uses laser weapons instead of rail guns. This extra space is used to keep a platoon of Marines on board. These Marines main task is to use the boarding pods to capture pirates alive. The Duran is also equipped with the enhanced targeting sensors and radar packages.

This ship has a crew of 18, plus 32 Marines
