Breska

Carrier Ship

The Breska carrier ship is the newest ship in the Republic navy. To save money, the ship is a refit of existing long range cargo haulers. The bow and stern hulls are replaced with hanger doors that open during operation. This was where the main thrust of the ship was located, these have been shifted to the port and starboard sides just to the side of the hanger doors. There has been a hatch installed in the deck of the landing area that exits to the exterior of the ship, where 4 more craft are stored and can be launched from, bringing the total launch vehicles to 8.

The crew lives in the overhead of the hanger, a total of 46 personnel are required to maintain the carrier.

The Breska Class Carrier is 120 meters long, 60 meters wide, and 40 meters tall. It has two large openings at the bow and aft of the ship, these openings are nearly entire size of the ship and can be closed with doors that rotate down from the overhead of the ship. These holes allow two smaller ships to fly in and out at the same time, and the ship can store a total of 12 fighter class ships aboard the vessel. 6 on the interior "protected deck" and 6 on the underside of the ship. This "vacuum deck" is accessible via stairways in the center of the "protected deck"

The Breska Class Carrier has two small laser turrets on the bow-overhead portion of the ship and has no extra armor plating.

The thrusters packs are on the port and starboard sides, making entry/exit of the carrier a straight shot if the thrusters are powered. These thruster packs are also the home of the smaller maneuver thrusters.
